Maître d’hôtel – Restaurant Manager
We are now looking for someone to accept the challenge of building and improving our restaurant and banquet operation at the Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. We are looking for an individual who is genuinely interested in the guest, the operation and the employees. The successful candidate is aware of trends in the food and beverage world, creative and has a “hands-on” approach with the ability to initiate, promote and implement ideas. We are seeking someone who is flexible, unpretentious, able to view change as positive and who easily sees solutions where others see problems. The ideal candidate is driven to achieve results and sees the big picture, yet understands the importance of details.
We would like our maitre d’hotel/restaurant manager to strive for personal development and the development of the staff, and to advance our business towards the same goal – providing our guests with a wonderful experience! The maitre d’hotel/restaurant manager will report to our Food /Beverage Manager. Responsibilities will include the hotel’s restaurant and banquet operations, as well as participation in daily operations. The position also includes evenings and weekends. Personal attributes include a passion for service with leadership skills that inspire and motivate employees to deliver personalised and professional service. The position requires skills for short-term and long-term forecasting, planning and staffing. The successful candidate will be proactive and have good planning skills both personally and in relation to the employees.
The successful candidate will have
- Relevant education/professional experience
- Commercial approach
- Food and beverage knowledge
- Management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
- Documented experience of responsibility for budgets
- Proficiency in Micros
- Starting date as soon as possible or by agreement.
